Nowadays, a lot of attention is paid to energy-saving devices, including energy-saving grain dryers. Furthermore, the question of enhancing drying quality and speeding up the drying process is still relevant. One of the most essential aspects of dryer improvement is combining the advantages of multiple dryers to create combination energy-efficient dryers. The efficient utilization of solar thermal energy to increase the energy efficiency of dryers is becoming increasingly important. Despite numerous scientific researches on drying machines, the practical outcomes are insufficient and incomplete.\n\nIn this article the influence of solar thermal energy on the intensity of drying and energy efficiency of the dryer on the combined drum energy-saving dryer for drying sunflower seeds is studied, the results of the experiment are fully described and analyzed. The experiment was finished based on the results collected. Recommendations for improving the use of the dryer in practice and propositions for developing the dryer are given.
