SEMANTIC AND GRAMMAR ANALYSIS OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS

This article provides a comparative-typological analysis of phraseological units in English and Uzbek, studying their specific features. The semantic-grammatical analysis of the phrases of the two languages is also discussed, with special emphasis on the distinguishing and unifying aspects between them. Phraseological components in English and Uzbek are considered with examples. The semantic and functional features of phraseologies are illustrated by examples, and the importance of categorical features is also proven.
