PROTECTION OF CULTURAL PROPERTY IN INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL LAW: THE INTERNATIONAL LEGAL REGIME AND NORMATIVE DEFINITIONS

Abstract. In the present article single questions concerning protection of cultural values, namely, the available scientific and standard definitions of "cultural values", "cultural heritage" and "cultural property", a ratio of the available definitions in various international legal acts and also the existing international legal mode of protection of cultural values are investigated. In article, features of the existing methodological approaches to protection of cultural values are revealed and a number of offers are given, including the main directions of transformation of the concept of the world cultural heritage of the people in the national legal system of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
