POSTCOVID ASTHENIA AND CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME -IS THE ONE AND THE SAME?

The article provides a review of the literature on the problem of post-COVID syndrome, in particular, its neurological manifestations. According to the duration of manifestations, post-covid syndrome is divided into subacute (from 4 to 12 weeks) and chronic (from 12 weeks to 6 months) stages. In addition, post-covid asthenia or chronic fatigue syndrome of post-covid etiology is isolated, lasting more than 6 months from the onset of the disease. In the structure of neurological manifestations of post-covid asthenia (or chronic fatigue syndrome), in order of persistence and severity of manifestations, the following are revealed: fatigue, memory loss and sweating, as well as sleep disturbance, headache, anxiety and depression.
