Annotatsiya
Over the past 10 years, the incidence of chronic bronchopulmonary pathology has increased by 21% in relation to the total incidence, while chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is the most common pathology among respiratory diseases (1,2,3,4). Due to the body's reduced immune defenses, patients with COPD have an increased susceptibility to viral infections, including SARS-CoV-2. The prevalence of COPD is higher among patients with more severe forms of COVID-19 (5). The emergence of a new infectious agent has set the challenges for healthcare professionals related to rapid diagnosis and timely provision of medical care to this category of patients (6).
