Anthropometric Parameters of Adolescent Football Players in Tashkent City

Background: Anthropometric characteristics are among the key factors influencing sports performance in football, particularly during adolescence when growth and maturation are actively ongoing. Objective: To evaluate the anthropometric profile of adolescent football players from youth sports schools in Tashkent city. Methods: The study analyzed six anthropometric indicators including age, body height, body weight, chest circumference, Erisman index, and body mass index (BMI). Data were obtained from medical examinations of 68 players from the “Odil Juniors” youth sports school and 31 players from the “Lokomotiv” youth sports school. Statistical analysis included calculation of the arithmetic mean and standard deviation. Results: The mean age of players from Odil Juniors was 13.28 ± 1.77 years, while players from Lokomotiv had a mean age of 12.8 ± 0.23 years. BMI values ranged from 16 to 22 units, corresponding to normative physiological values according to WHO standards.
