Annotatsiya

The article describes the development and application of the basic principles of the technology of content-language integrated learning at a technical university. A brief history of the development of CLIL technology abroad is presented; the basic principles for introducing CLIL into the educational space of technical universities are formulated. The main goals of using CLIL in the academic process are the development of students' motivation to learn foreign languages, the possibility of free communication on professional topics in a foreign language, the expanding of knowledge about other cultures, the development of linguistic and communicative competencies in the course of communication using a foreign language, modeling communication situations in various topics in the professional field. The main methods of achieving the goals are listed, the qualitative results of the study are presented.
