Today, the modern system of higher professional education sets itself the task of forming a wide range of professional competencies of graduates, and higher education institutions of the country are interested in training competitive professionals in high demand in the modern labor market. The article presents ideas on how to assess the quality of training of agricultural specialists, based on a competency-based approach, to instill in students and develop competencies that determine successful adaptation in the production and scientific communities.
