Modeling and Numerical Solving of the Process of Separating Grain Mixtures by a Centrifugal Separator

The paper developed a mathematical model of the process of separating grain mixtures that describes the movement of particles in a centrifugal separator. When developing a mathematical model of the technological process, the following parameters were taken into account: centrifugal force of inertia; normal reaction force, gravity, particle drag in the Oxyz system; portable force acting on particles; Coriolis force of inertia. To solve the problem, a numerical algorithm and software tools were developed and computational experiments were carried out for various values of the parameters of the process under consideration. The results of the calculations performed are shown in the form of graphical objects and the analysis of the results of the studies is given in the conclusion of this work. The developed mathematical model and numerical method allows us to determine the range of parameters of the separating unit, taking into account the physical and mechanical properties of the particles.
