Annotatsiya

Atrial fibrillation is an important arrhythmia with a soaring popularity included in population. Atrial fibrillation is not uncommon in the setting of coronary artery disease, including myocardial infarction and acute coronary syndromes. Percutaneous coronary interventions have remarkably enhanced results of patients with acute myocardial infarction and acute coronary syndromes. However, the atrial fibrillation was reported to occur in patients with myocardial infarction and acute coronary syndromes undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention. New onset atrial fibrillation after PCI for myocardial infarction and acute coronary syndromes, though being infrequent, was associated with worse clinical course and prognosis. The predictive value of atrial fibrillation has tendency to change in parallel with improvements of reperfusion strategies and comprehensive treatment. Observational studies suggest better patency of culprit vessels achieved by percutaneous coronary intervention was accompanied by improvement in signalaveraged electrocardiography indices of atrial electrophysiological properties and higher rate of restoration of sinus rhythm during primary percutaneous coronary interventionas compared with thrombolysis. The adequate management of arrhythmia is required to reduce the risk of complications
