Annotatsiya

Dyscirculatory encephalopathy (DE) is a chronic progressive form of cerebrovascular pathology associated with multifocal or diffuse brain lesions and manifested by a complex of neurological and neuropsychological disorders. Cognitive impairment in DE is one of the most important and complex problems of modern neurology. Of no small importance is the neurohormonal factor in the pathogenesis of the development of CI in DE. This review article considers in detail the etiology and pathogenesis of CI in DE. Special attention is paid to the study of the role of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) as a neuropeptide in the functional activity of the brain.
