A COMPLEX APPROACH TO THE TREATMENT OF CHRONIC APHTHOUS STOMATITIS AS A SPECIAL PREPARATION OF THE ORAL CAVITY FOR PROSTHETICS

This research is based on the treatment results of 118 patients with CRAS. The patients were divided into two groups: the control group (n=61) and the main (n=57). In the main group of patients, a new method of local protection of the oral mucosa aphthous afts with the domestic drug "GEPROCEL" was used. According to the results of the supplied method of the treatment, a more significant improvement in the indices of oral hygiene was noted (from 0.80±0.05 to 0.49±0.04 points, p<0.001), which in general increased the proportion of excellent and good hygiene efficiency from 83.6% to 96.5% (p=0.031). The terms of regeneration of the erosive process were shortened from 6.8±0.19 to 4.4±0.13 days (p<0.001), the period of complete regression of inflammatory process changes from 10.2±0.31 to 6.9±0.28 days (p<0.001), and the frequency of complications was reduced from 31.1% to 14.0% (p=0.028). In the main group, there was also a reduction in the frequency of relapses of the disease from 45.3% to 18.8% (p=0.005) and a more significant improvement in the life quality indicators determined within 6-12 months, with an increase in the proportion of good longterm results from 63.6% to 87.2% (p=0.028).
