HISTORICAL FORMATION AND ARCHITECTURAL STRUCTURE OF THE PILGRIMAGE PLACES OF THE KHORAZM OASIS

The article is devoted to highlighting the influence of the mythological worldview and traditions of the local population, as well as the geographical environment on architectural solutions and the historical development of mausoleums in the pilgrimage places of Khorezm. The article also describes the geographical differences between the architecture of Khorezm and the architecture of other regions. The works of the authors are analyzed in chronological order, among which the main place is occupied by the scientific works of historians, ethnographers and architects. These studies are mainly devoted to the analysis of the emergence of places of pilgrimage, their historical development, terminology related to cult monuments, and the scientific substantiation of their architectural solutions.
