The article considers the concept of digital transformation of the tourism industry and the main componentsof smart tourism such as: smart business, smart tourist destinations and smart experience. Basedon the analysis of international experience, the article substantiates the need for the development of smarttourism in the regions and the introduction of digital technologies in the tourism sector. The author puts forwardrecommendations for the digital transformation of the tourism industry.
