The cluster compounds based on boranes, heteroboranes, and metallaboranes are widely used in nanomedicine, targeted radiopharmaceuticals, medicinal imaging agents, cancer diagnostic agents, and boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) of tumors. In this chapter, the basics, synthesis procedures, reactions, chemical or physical properties, and applications of cluster compounds based on boranes, heteroboranes, and metallaboranes were reviewed and discussed with the relevant examples.
