DIPLOMACY AND DIPLOMATIC LANGUAGE

Diplomatic texts increasingly deviate from the literary convention of the diplomatic language, which is particularly interesting from the perspective of the linguistic tools the translator employed to interpret the text. Translators working in the diplomatic environment are required to become highly educated and well-mannered people. They should not only be interested in politics, but also be well versed in international affairs, have a knowledge of the diplomatic vocabulary, sociology and culture of the country in which they will work.
