This paper argues for the imperative of modernizing educational programs by integrating dedicated modules on artificial intelligence, machine learning, intelligent systems, extended reality, data science and other advanced technology topics. This can address the skills gap faced by graduates and enhance the competitiveness, relevance and future-readiness of higher education. Recommendations are provided for updating standards, faculty development, industry linkages and accreditation frameworks to enable nation-wide adoption. Curriculum modernization can activate lifelong learning mindsets vital for the 21st century.
