Effective Practice of Learning English at Universities in Uzbekistan. Features of the Linguocognitive Approach to Grammatical Phenomena of Language

Teaching foreign languages is one of the priorities of education reform in Uzbekistan. At the state level, a number of targets and goals have been set to achieve new standards in the study of foreign languages in order to achieve drastic improvements in their development by students. In the republic, much attention is paid to the development of the English language teaching system using a holistic approach. Nowadays, knowledge of foreign languages is the key to success in almost all spheres of life. Now in Uzbekistan, the demand and interest in their study, especially English, has increased so much that people of all ages are trying to master it. The main reason for this is the rapid integration of Uzbekistan into all international processes, an ever-growing number of native English speakers and a rich database of scientific, educational, popular and other publications in this language. The increasing demand for language learning places a great responsibility on teachers. The article presents the methodology of teaching English at the Tashkent State Pedagogical University. The ways of representing grammatical causality in the structure of the English language are analyzed based on selected examples from literary texts. The analysis of English texts demonstrates the cognitive aspect of this grammatical phenomenon. Since grammar and language are inseparable and essential parts of cognition, the grammatical category of causality is explored in isolation from the principles of cognition and cognitive learning
