Annotatsiya

Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin disease of unexplained etiology, characterized by protracted course and a tendency to relapse. A large role in the rosacea occurrence is given to the genetic factor in recent years, according to the literature. Genes polymorphisms of the hemostatic system and folate metabolism in rosacea patients have been studied in the present work. The study group included 27 patients diagnosed with rosacea of varying severity, and the control group included 20 conditionally healthy subjects without rosacea. The mean age of the study group patients was 39.1±13.6 years, and for the healthy control group participants — 35.2±9.1 years. Genotyping of samples was carried out by real-time polymerase chain reaction, homocysteine level was analyzed using CLIA method. As a result of the research, adverse genes’ variants of the hemostatic system, in particular the platelet component — ITGB3: 1565 T>C rs5918 and PAI-1: –675 5G>4G rs1799889, as well as variants of folate metabolism genes — MTHFR: 1298 A>RSC 1801131 and MTR: 677t RSC > have been revealed. The identified loci provide specificity of inflammatory mechanisms developing in rosacea and determine potential treatment pathways. In addition, rosacea patients had elevated homocysteine level. The obtained data suggest the involvement of platelet-cell hemostasis disorders as well as folic acid metabolism in rosacea pathogenesis.
