Self-Similar Solutions for the Membrane Transverse Vibration Equation

In this article, it is constructed special solutions for a certain class of degenerating differential equations of hyperbolic type of a second order. Linearly independent solutions consisting of hypergeometric functions are found for the given partial differential equation of hyperbolic type. These self-similar solutions are expressed in terms of Gauss hypergeometric functions.
