The article presents a methodology for organizing extracurricular activities based on an innovative approach aimed at developing the physical fitness of general education students. The study developed effective methods for planning, organizing, and evaluating extracurricular activities to improve the physical education process, based on modern pedagogical approaches. The activities include individualized workload, assessment of functional fitness, and monitoring elements. Results of pedagogical experiments demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed methodology in enhancing students’ physical fitness indicators, increasing motor activity, and fostering interest in a healthy lifestyle. The conclusions outlined in the article have practical significance for improving the physical education process in general education institutions.
