The crystal structure of the title complex, [Co(C 5 H 7 O 2 ) 2 (C 7 H 6 N 2 S)(H 2 O)], was determined in the triclinic space group P 1 . The central Co II ion adopts a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. The unit cell consists of two complex molecules connected via N—H...O and O—H...O hydrogen bonds along the [01 1 ] direction. Hirshfeld surface analysis revealed that the largest contributions to the crystal packing originate from H...H (51.8%), H...C/C...H (16.6%), O...H/H...O (12.4%), and H...S/S...H (8.8%) contacts.
