Annotatsiya

This article examines the lexical-semantic features of color synonyms in the Arabic language, exploring their connotative meanings within cultural-linguistic contexts, as well as their metaphorical expressions. In addition to primary colors like white and black, the research thoroughly analyzes synonymous layers of terms related to green, red, yellow, and ixed colors, emphasizing their cultural significance. Special attention is given to synonymy processes in the lexical-semantic analysis of specific Arabic expressions such as رجل أزهر rajul azhar, شَعر أشمط shaʿr ashmṭ, كبش أملح kabsh amlaḥ, among others. The study deeply investigates the cultural connotations and symbolic meanings that form cohesive semantic complexes within these synonyms. The research highlights the richness and extensive range of color synonym vocabulary in Arabic, encompassing both primary denotative meanings and metaphorical connotative nuances. The findings illustrate a close interplay between these synonyms and cultural, social, and linguo-cognitive factors. It concludes that without considering color synonymy, fully revealing complex semantic structures in Arabic remains incomplete. The article recommends further studies of color semantics and synonymy, expanding analysis into historical, dialectal, and various genre-specific texts.
