This scientific paper provides concise information on solar panels, describes the synthesis process of the phthalocyanine pigment used in the production of solar cells, and presents its infrared (IR) spectral analysis. A copper-based phthalocyanine sample was analyzed using a PerkinElmer Fourier-transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR), which resulted in the identification of existing functional groups. According to the spectral data, peaks characteristic of aromatic rings, carbonyl, hydroxyl, ether, nitrile, and metal-oxygen (Cu-O) bonds were detected in the sample. The obtained results confirm the presence of a phytochemical compound in the sample that forms a complex with copper ions. This analysis is crucial for an in-depth study of the composition of phthalocyanine-based solar cells and for evaluating the potential to enhance their photoelectric efficiency.
