The Impact of IT and Language Training on Rural Unemployment: A Case Study of Pastarg’om, Uzbekistan

Rural unemployment is a very complicated matter it has been a matter of interest for the economists internationally since many decades. While all sorts of innovative answers were suggested overseas, the specific situation from state thus far functions really localized. This research paper reveals some micro-level findings relative to this and prior empirical studies. The case study site for the paper is within Kimyogilar Mahallasi in Pastarg’om District, Samarkand region of Uzbekistan and aims at how integrated IT and Language training synergistically complement each other to combat Rural Unemployment. A local learning center hung only to intervene and provide residents with skills to improve their employability, expertise and incomes useful in the market. Utilizing a case study design that included pre- and post-intervention analysis of administrative records and community survey data, the research examines changes in employment patterns, skills acquisition, and certification outcomes. The results indicate that its particular targeted, multi-skill program works to lower unemployment while the local economy and job prospects improve, particularly for younger participants and those with formal credentials. Overall, the paper calls for community-level vocational policies that can foster inclusive economic growth, mitigate migration drivers and enhance climate-resilient rural livelihoods. It situates this within international experiences and national labour market trends.
