ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND ECONOMIC AND ECOLOGICAL BALANCE OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE TERRITORY

This study is devoted to the analysis of topical issues of environmental protection, reflecting the relationship between economic development and the level of environmental stress. The goal is to substantiate theoretical approaches and develop practical recommendations for ensuring the ecological and economic balance of the territory's development through the optimization of environmental protection activities that ensure the sustainable use of natural resources, reducing anthropogenic pressure on the environment and the formation of an effective environmental safety system for the territory. The research uses such methods of scientific knowledge as analysis and synthesis, statistical and econometric analysis, modeling, as well as methods of comparative and factor analysis. Statistical data provided by the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat), scientific publications in the problematic field of economics and environmental protection were used as sources of information. The main indicators and environmental indicators are considered, key problems and contradictions caused by the discrepancy between the rates of economic growth and the level of environmental protection are identified. Measures are proposed to optimize environmental protection activities aimed at improving the efficiency of natural resource use, reducing air, water and soil pollution, as well as introducing environmentally sound technologies and economic incentive mechanisms.
