A Novel Dual-Band Cavity Filter Using Mixed Resonant Modes
Annotatsiya
This paper presents a dual-band filter that combines coaxial-cavity mode and resonant-iris modes. By incorporating resonant irises and metal posts into a cavity, two distinct resonant modes are achieved, enabling dual-band operation. For the resonant iris mode, adjusting the dimensions of the irises effectively modifies its resonant frequency, while the bandwidth can be optimized by varying the distance between the irises. In the coaxial-cavity mode, the center frequency can be easily tuned by adjusting the length of the post, and the position of the feeding probe significantly influences the bandwidth. The proposed filter offers structural simplicity and exhibits low insertion loss.
