An Approach to Examining Author Originality with a Corpus
Annotatsiya
This paper presents a linguistic analysis of the unique language features of Prof. Nusratullo Jumakhoja, based on a custom author corpus compiled from his published articles. The study utilizes modern corpus linguistics and Natural Language Processing (NLP) tools, including AntConc, Sketch Engine, and the Python programming language with NLTK and spaCy libraries. The analysis focuses on lexical originality, semantic uniqueness, and stylistic patterns. Rare lexical units such as "conscience immunity" (vicdan bağışıklığı) and rubobiyot are identified and examined in terms of structure, meaning, and style. Findings indicate the presence of distinctive lexical constructions and poetic expressions in Jumakhoja’s works. This research is among the first corpus-based studies on authorial style in Uzbek linguistics and contributes to authorship analysis, stylistics, discourse studies, and the mechanisms of poetic expression.
