Annotatsiya
This paper investigates the essential role of language in modern diplomacy, emphasizing how linguistic competence, cultural awareness, and communication ethics influence international relations. As global interactions become more complex, the demand for diplomats who possess advanced language skills and intercultural understanding has increased. Through descriptive and analytical methods, this study examines English as the primary language of international diplomacy, explores South Korea’s linguistic diplomacy model, and discusses how communication failures have historically affected global politics. The findings highlight that language is not only a tool of expression but a strategic instrument that builds trust, reduces conflict, and promotes cooperation among nations.
