Sustainable Cloud-Native Infrastructure: AI, Edge, and 5G
Annotatsiya
Smart systems, edge computing, and 5G connection infrastructure are rapidly innovating, and the digital infrastructure carbon footprint is growing. It is shown in this paper that the concept of SCALE (Sustainable, Cloud-native, Low-latency, and Edge optimized) model is presented as a background tool to the resolution of the burning problems of sustainability in cloud-native implementations. We show how carbon conscious orchestration, microservice system design, conscious edge deployment and esoteric optimization methods are combined to build more sustainable digital infrastructure. Unlike older system design and existing edge-facilitated 5G, our results suggest that the SCALE model can deliver substantial energy use and carbon emission savings, to say the least, and better system performance and availability. In addition to providing a significant theoretical background and experimental evidence, some major possibilities of future research are also proposed in this paper.
