"GREEN ECONOMY" – THE BASE OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

This study investigates the role of the green economy as a basis for sustainable development, focusing on international practices and Uzbekistan’s 2019–2030 Green Economy Strategy. Using literature review, statistical data, and comparative analysis, the paper highlights that Uzbekistan aims to increase renewable energy share to 25% and improve energy efficiency by 20% by 2030. Results are presented through tables and charts, emphasizing economic, social, and environmental benefits. The discussion outlines challenges such as investment barriers and institutional gaps, while providing recommendations for strengthening policy coherence and international cooperation.
