Annotatsiya

Despite the fundamental role of sleep in maintaining and improving physical and mental health, many people sleep less than the recommended number of hours or suffer from sleep disorders. Quality sleep contributes to the improvement of the state of the cardiovascular system, mental health, cognitive abilities, strengthening memory, immunity, reproductive health and hormonal regulation. Sleep disorders such as insomnia, sleep apnea, and circadian rhythm disorders, or sleep disturbances due to lifestyle choices, environmental conditions, or other medical problems, can lead to significant illnesses and can contribute to or exacerbate medical and mental health disorders. Recommendations for improving sleep include following a 7-9 hour sleep schedule, following a consistent sleep/wake schedule, a regular bedtime regimen, regular exercise, and meditative practice. In addition, avoiding many substances at the end of the day can help improve sleep. Caffeine, alcohol, abundant food, and prolonged exposure to light for days lead to partial and poor-quality sleep. Practicing good sleep hygiene can contribute to improving the quality and duration of sleep, with corresponding health benefits.
