Annotatsiya

The research's objective is to present an alternative lens with which to consider psychological variables that incur resistance to the adoption of Artificial Intelligence Technology (AI) when applied to investigating factors in small ventures in Uzbekistan. The key objective is to identify cognitive and affective barriers that impact cognitive strategic decision-making, and to offer implications for reconfiguring digital readiness, capacity development, and response to technological change in a developing economy. The research, situated along with the overarching national vision of the “Uzbekistan -2030” Strategy that seeks to prioritize innovation, entrepreneurship, and digitalization, becomes part of a broader plan to learn how human behavior interacts with country-level modernization strategies aimed at the economy. The qualitative research design is articulated via ten semi-structured interviews with owners and managers of small firms in a variety of industry sectors in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The article has examined various important theoretical factors in relation to psychological resistance, such as technophobia, self-efficacy, cognitive biases, and cultural norms and highlighted struggling culture mindset that would have a bearing on building attitudes toward technology- induced change. The study sets a timely context for SMEs in Uzbekistan situational psychological readiness for AI in Integration. In addition, the study highlighted the need for attention on awareness, training, and an inclusive policy. Equally so, the study illustrates the critical role of awareness, education, and inclusive digital policy in bolstering small business engagement in the digital economy, outlined in the Uzbekistan– 2030 national strategy.
