Organizational and Technical Support for Smart Accounting and Auditing with Artificial Intelligence
Annotatsiya
The accounting and auditing is an ecosystem with technical and organizational dimensions that are in rapid transformation, largely owing to accelerated changes caused by AI-driven digital activity. This situation highlights the urgent need to develop intelligent frameworks for the management and optimization of the audit–accounting interface based on a deep understanding of its specific operational and compliance requirements. The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between organizational support roles, technical architecture, and their perceived opportunities to address adaptive decision-making, regulatory compliance, and data/information needs. This study focuses on the experiences of smart accounting platforms that offer cloud-based AI solutions to enterprises in digitally dynamic environments. The effectiveness of the framework was assessed at multiple sites in the Central Asia Economic Zone, Uzbekistan, between 2022 and 2024. It was only detected at high-performing sites, corresponding to the urban and semi-urban reaches of medium-sized firms and in the regional capitals, in alignment with the sophistication of the infrastructure. The results revealed that AI orchestration was significantly associated with greater strategic opportunity to fulfill real-time analytics needs, whereas rigidly defined manual accounting/data workflows were associated with less opportunity to meet these needs. Overall, these results suggest that maintaining flexibility over workflow structure may be more important than maximum automation or data accumulation to achieve high performance under variable demand. Finding the best possible balance of providing technical and managerial guidance in centralized or distributed settings could improve decision accuracy at the same time as minimizing redundancy, and making sure that the organizational intelligence needs are met.
