The Impact of Tourism Digitalization on Sustainable Growth: An ARDL approach

In this research, there were investigated relationship between digitalization, international tourism arrivals, and sustainable growth was investigated. The research gap lies in the fact that, although there is a sufficient number of studies dedicated to economic growth and tourism development, few have analyzed the impact of tourism digitalization on economic growth. The aim of this research is to empirically assess the effects of tourism digitalization on the sustainable growth of Uzbekistan by using the ARDL model. The data was collected from 1999 to 2023. The results of the model proved that there is a strong positive relationship between digitalization, tourism flows, and sustainable growth. The scientific novelty of the research is that changing the level of digitalization in the country by one unit will increase economic growth by 1.38%. The applied Breusch Pagan and Breusch Godfrey tests indicate the absence of autocorrelation of heteroscedasticity.
