The urban transport infrastructure is an intricate multistage system. In many cases, this system is in a state of continuous advancement and also enlarge convenience. In most cases, each time consumers interact with system, they mix miscellaneous ways of transport when building routes. Due to the rapid elaboration of modern technologies, a large quantity of data has already been accumulated, processed, and made available in an easy-to-use form. Treatise investigates the global undergo of creating such transport systems. Similar characteristics and prerequisites for usage of various approaches in the implementation of projects have been pointed up. A resemblance of the urban transport infrastructure of some megacities and St. Petersburg has been conducted. Amount of residents in St. Petersburg is constantly increasing, and it poses new challenges to the city's transport infrastructure. In this regard, the scientific paper offers some information tools that allow analyzing existing routes and elaborating new ones.
