This chapter explores the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing the motivation, engagement, and autonomy of English language learners (ELLs). In an era where personalized learning and learner-centered approaches are paramount, AI offers dynamic tools and platforms that adapt to individual needs, learning styles, and pace. The chapter examines how AI-powered applications, such as intelligent tutoring systems, language learning apps, and chatbots, foster interactive and immersive learning environments.
