Corrosion poses a substantial obstacle in the automobile sector, affecting the longevity, safety, and financial worth of vehicles. Different materials and components within vehicles are affected by various types of corrosion, such as general, galvanic, pitting, crevice, and intergranular. To address these challenges, the industry utilizes several protective measures, including coatings, paints, cathodic protection, material selection and treatment, and design adjustments. Progress in the field of materials science, intelligent coatings, sensors, and sustainable solutions are ready to improve the prevention of corrosion guaranteeing the durability and dependability of automobile parts. Through the implementation of these advancements, the automobile industry can attain enhanced durability and eco-friendliness in the manufacturing and upkeep of vehicles.
