Annotatsiya

Ureterohydronephrosis is a pathological condition characterized by progressive dilation of the ureter and renal pelvis due to impaired urine outflow, leading to structural and functional alterations of the urinary tract. This study aims to analyze the clinical and morphological changes of the ureter in patients with ureterohydronephrosis. Clinical findings were correlated with imaging data and morphological characteristics to assess the extent of ureteral remodeling. The results demonstrate that prolonged obstruction results in significant ureteral wall thickening, loss of smooth muscle integrity, and fibrotic transformations, which contribute to impaired peristalsis and progressive urinary stasis. Early detection of these changes is crucial for selecting appropriate therapeutic strategies and preventing irreversible renal damage.
