This article examines the influence of chess on the mental development of students, focusing on the improvement of their logical thinking, memory, and attention. Multiple studies have shown that children who play chess exhibit significantly enhanced concentration, memory retention, and problem-solving abilities compared to those who do not. Chess is increasingly being used as an educational tool worldwide, and evidence indicates that incorporating chess into learning can strengthen students’ cognitive skills and even boost academic performance. The article discusses these findings and highlights how chess training can be leveraged in school settings to foster students’ intellectual growth.
