Annotatsiya

In Uzbekistan, termites of the Anacanthotermes genus are the most destructive pests of structural wood. Study of the biocenotic relationships between termites and other components of the ecosystem may contribute to the development of alternative methods for regulating their population through the use of natural enemies. This study is aimed at identifying the natural enemies of termites, using mammals, birds, and insects as examples. The list of natural enemies was compiled based on data from scientific literature as well as the authors’ own field observations, resulting in a comprehensive checklist of the natural enemies of termites of the genus Anacanthotermes in Uzbekistan. A total of 72 species of vertebrates were identified and recorded, including two species of amphibians (1 identified by the authors), 30 species of reptiles (10 identified by the authors), and 33 species of birds (7 identified by the authors).
