PSYCHOLOGICAL MECHANISMS OF CRITICAL THINKING DEVELOPMENT

This article examines the importance of critical thinking in the modern education system and its role in the pedagogical process, the formation of critical thinking skills in an individual to evaluate information, identify problems, analyze and draw well-founded conclusions, the cognitive, metacognitive, and emotional components of critical thinking, as well as the role of attention management, perception, memory integration, logical thinking, and metacognitive control in the pedagogical process, and the development of critical thinking in the context of strategic documents and reforms in the field of education in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
