Problems and features of lexical change in global English

This article explores the major problems and distinctive features of lexical change in Global English in the context of globalization, intercultural communication, and ongoing linguistic variation. As English increasingly functions as a global lingua franca, it undergoes continuous transformation influenced by social, cultural, technological, and economic factors. The study examines key processes such as lexical innovation, borrowing from other languages, semantic shift, word formation, and hybridization, which contribute to the dynamic expansion of the English vocabulary.
