This article is devoted to modern approaches to teaching Modern Greek as a second foreign language to university students. The Lexical Approach, the cognitive-discursive approach, Task-Based Learning, and Blended Learning supported by digital educational platforms are analyzed. Examples of exercises and curriculum design are provided, along with a comparative analysis of the methods and their impact on language proficiency and learner motivation. The study demonstrates that the combination of conscious grammar awareness, active communicative practice, and work with authentic materials leads to more sustainable and effective outcomes in learning Greek. It is emphasized that contemporary requirements for future educators include a high level of methodological, communicative, and intercultural competence. Conclusions are drawn about the necessity of integrating structural and communicative techniques when designing a Greek language course as a second foreign language.
