Annotatsiya

Socialization, Social Interaction, Culture Socialization is a lifelong process through which individuals acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors necessary to participate effectively in society. Beginning in childhood and continuing throughout life, socialization shapes individual identities, internalizes cultural norms, and ensures the continuity of social order. Through socialization, individuals learn societal norms and values, adopt language, beliefs, customs, and traditions, and develop a sense of self and social roles, such as student, parent, or worker. Key agents of socialization include family, peers, schools, and media, each contributing to the formation of behaviors, attitudes, and cultural understanding. Social interaction, facilitated by these agents, reinforces learned norms and enables individuals to navigate social relationships. Culture provides the framework within which socialization occurs, influencing expectations, role behaviors, and collective identity. For instance, gender roles are learned and reinforced through family practices, peer influence, and media exposure, illustrating how socialization both reflects and perpetuates cultural norms. Overall, socialization, social interaction, and culture are deeply intertwined processes that guide human development, social participation, and the transmission of societal values across generations.
