lisher Navoi's personality and work have always attracted the interest of not only Uzbek literary scholars but also connoisseurs of culture and education worldwide. Russian scholars are the most prominent in this regard. In the 19th and 20th centuries, many Russian orientalists turned to Alisher Navoi. Scholarly research by E. Bertels, V. Bartold, A. Borovkov, A. Yakubovsky, and other researchers once again demonstrates the uniqueness of the great poet's work. One such orientalist is Alexander Alexandrovich Semenov. Semenov published numerous scientific works on issues related to the personality of Alisher Navoi, in particular on the cultural issues of the era in which the poet lived, the influence of Persian literature and the role of calligraphers in the development of literature. It should be noted that several periods of the scholar's life and work were connected to Tashkent, which played a significant role.
