The paper proposes an age-assessment approach for ancient bones using CR-39 track detectors to measure 222Rn volume activity in equilibrium with 226Ra, then infers 226Ra specific activity in bone and nearby soil. The study applies the method to modern and prehistoric bone specimens and introduces an "age coefficient" based on the bone-to-soil 226Ra ratio. The main claim is that 226Ra accumulation and the derived “age coefficient” correlates with bone age and can be used for practical dating estimates.
