This article addresses the issues of improving the process of working with texts in mother tongue lessons on the basis of interdisciplinary integration. The relevance of the study is обусловed by the need to develop students’ functional literacy, independent thinking, and the competence to apply knowledge across various academic disciplines within the modern education system. The article explores the essence of the concept of interdisciplinary integration, analyzes its didactic potential, and examines ways of implementing it in the process of working with texts in mother tongue lessons.
