This article analyzes, on the basis of historical sources, the role of the religious class within the system of state governance, its influence on political processes, and its position in the legal structure of the Bukhara Emirate. The study examines the interaction between religious institutions and political authorities, their function in ensuring political legitimacy, and their significance within the Sharia-based judicial system. Furthermore, the research explores the participation of the religious elite in social life, their role in maintaining social stability, and their institutional status within the state system. The findings indicate that religious institutions constitute an integral component of the Emirate's political and legal order.
