This article analyzes the process of self-awareness in adolescents, as well as the related process of self-control. It is known that self-control develops as one of the important components of self-awareness, based on a person’s ability to regulate and monitor their own activity. In psychological literature, there is no comprehensive and scientifically grounded understanding of self-control. Self-regulation and self-control should not be equated. It can only be noted that self-control is a function of self-regulation. The article examines self-control from the perspective of adolescence.
